Manuel Tousignant, M.Sc.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in 2011, Manuel Tousignant completed a one-year university program in wound ballistics in Lyon, France. 

Upon his return, he obtained a student position in the Ballistics Section at the Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de médecine légale (LSJML) during the summer of 2012. The following fall, he began a Master’s degree in Energy and Material Sciences at the UQTR while maintaining his student position in ballistics.

In the winter of 2014, he was hired at the LSJML as a specialist in forensic ballistics, where he completed his internal professional training. During this training, he developed an expertise in crime scene modeling with the FARO 3D laser scanner.
